From Platform to Pedestal: Spotify’s “Fresh Finds Forward” Brings to Light a New Wave of Talent.
Spotify's Fresh Finds Forward program has and will bring new and well equipped artists to our earphones.
Spotify is notorious for bringing new sound to their daily listeners with their amazing playlist systems. Now they’re once again going a step further by not only bringing you new music but supporting upcoming artists to make new music.
In Spotify’s Fresh Finds Forward program approximately 10,000 emerging independent artists each year resources, community and support beyond playlist discovery to help turn early momentum into long-term growth.
Though unfamiliar to some listeners, their previous initiatives have helped stars like Laufey, Clairo, Doechii, Ice Spice, Megan Moroney, and Omar Apollo, be supported in their pursuit to stardom. For five consecutive years, Fresh Finds alumni have earned Best New Artist nominations and there’s no telling how many there’ll be.
Beginning with eligible artists added to Fresh Finds from January 1, 2026 onward, participating artists receive 12 months of benefits including:
Free studio time
Early access to select Spotify tools and features
Exclusive programming and community
Prioritized access to tour or music video partnerships with Spotify.
Premium access to digital tools like LANDR and Splice
Mental health and wellness resources
These supports may seem like “nice necessities” for an artist to have but having this leg up can allow them to work on their personal sound as well. The thing that separates good artists from great artists sometimes is how much they can show who they are in music. This program allows them to have an opportunity to focus on themselves as artists and the music which can turn a good album into a great one.
Trust your sound, trust your process, and keep being creative - Remi Wolf
Doing what alumni Remi Wolf says is a lot easier when some back-end logistics are taken care of.
We're excited to see who I hear from next! Spotify is not only being a major facilitator of the music industry but being a great supporter of it too.
