There are birthdays, and then there are Ibiza birthdays. Justine Skye threw a full-blown takeover in Ibiza.

On August 23, Skye and her circle of friends descended on The Summer EDITION, a two-week residency by EDITION Hotels at El Silencio, one of Ibiza’s most discreet but influential beach clubs. Nestled inside a rocky cove on the island’s western coast, the venue was transformed for the night with EDITION’s signature minimal-luxe design and Silencio’s curatorial edge. The result? A playground where music, fashion, and culture collided, perfectly suited for a pop star stepping into a new decade.

The guest list read like a cultural cross-section: Arya Starr, Younes Bendjima, Jaheel Weaver, Tyrell Hampton, and Jawara Wauchope all turned up, creating the kind of crowd that felt less like a birthday dinner and more like a Vogue afterparty gone rogue. By 11 p.m., El Silencio’s vinyl bar had become the nucleus of the celebration, with cocktails flowing, beats cutting through the warm Mediterranean air, and Skye at the center of it all — radiant, fearless, and every bit the main character.

Of course, the timing wasn’t accidental. Just weeks before, Skye had released her latest single, Bitch in Ibiza, a sharp, playful nod to the island’s party mythology. Throwing her birthday here wasn’t just convenient — it was a living extension of her music. The track’s swagger was mirrored in the energy of the night: unapologetic, magnetic, and just chaotic enough to feel real.

For EDITION Hotels, Skye’s party was also a statement moment within The Summer EDITION residency, its first-ever poolside pop-up. The collaboration with Parisian nightlife brand Silencio has reimagined El Silencio’s pool deck into a Balearic outpost of EDITION’s global aesthetic — sleek design, elevated but unpretentious dining, and cultural programming that pulls in the right kind of crowd. This wasn’t bottle-service luxury or influencer bait. It was the opposite: cool, understated, and rooted in the idea that the best parties feel like they could disappear by morning.

The residency will close on August 31 with a sunset performance by Lourdes Leon, aka Lolahol, whose trip-hop infused sound promises to cap the series with the same experimental, genre-bending energy that has defined it. But for those on the dance floor Saturday night, the highlight was clear: watching Justine Skye mark her Crazy Thirty surrounded by friends, music, and the kind of atmosphere only Ibiza can provide.

Because if you’re going to turn 30, you may as well do it in the most unapologetically Crazy way possible.
